Explore Florida's Anclote Key
Feel the sunshine on your shoulders and the breeze on your face as you hop on a bike and explore the natural beauty of Florida’s west coast on two wheels. Along with 2 miles of paved pathways throughout the property, Anclote River Resort is conveniently located near dozens of miles of multi-use trail networks for all ages and skill levels. Before hitting the trails, talk to your Wanderful Concierge Specialist to reserve a bicycle and pick up handy route maps and recommendations for stops along the way. For longer excursions, pack a picnic or stop by one of the resort’s onsite restaurants for a to-go lunch to enjoy al fresco.

Once you’re ready to go, explore the easy 4.5-mile Coastal Anclote Trail, a 12-foot wide paved pathway that runs adjacent to Anclote River Resort and connects three parks—Anclote River Park, Anclote Gulf Park and Key Vista Nature Park—all of which offer picnic areas and peaceful nature views. Pedal along the sun-dappled path, which meanders beneath a canopy of tropical trees and through lush palms. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way, such as wild turkeys and bald eagles.
Want to bring your pet? This dog-friendly trail welcomes leashed pets, making it easy to bring furry family members along for some exercise and adventure.
For experienced bikers looking for a longer ride, continue on the Elfers Spur Trail that connects to the Pinellas Trail, a nearly 50-mile rail-trail that stretches from the Pasco County line all the way south to St. Petersburg, with neighborhoods, county parks and coastal areas dotting the route.
